Job summary

nVent is seeking a Second Shift Production Supervisor to coordinate and oversee production activities, ensuring targets, quality, and safety. This role requires hands-on leadership, strong organizational skills, and the ability to read engineering prints.

You will supervise workers, conduct performance discussions, and collaborate with shipping and project management to meet customer requirements. A background in metal fabrication or manufacturing is preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of demonstrated leadership ability in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong planning and organization skills with understanding of manufacturing processes.
• Ability to read prints and tape measurements to 1/16”.
• Good computer skills and familiarity with common software.
• Able to work second shift after training period.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate second shift production activities to meet targets.
• Supervise production employees, ensure training, safety, quality and efficiency.
• Conduct performance reviews, development discussions, and corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with policies, safety, quality, and timekeeping requirements.
• Ensure materials are on hand for upcoming jobs.
• Resolve issues affecting schedules and costs with relevant teams.
• Collaborate with Shipping and Project Management on customer shipping requirements.
• Assist area personnel and monitor product flow as needed.
