Job summary

Bay Insulation Systems is seeking a 2nd shift Plant Supervisor to direct and supervise plant operations, ensuring safety, quality, productivity and schedule adherence. You will oversee production, maintenance, quality, and shipping/receiving, coordinating with the Production Superintendent to meet objectives in a cost-effective manner.

You will lead plant staff, provide training, assist in hiring, and handle administrative duties such as timecard approvals.

Qualifications

• Experience in a production or distribution environment.
• Experience in machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Experience supervising, coaching, and developing staff.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Works well with management, peers, and employees.
• Five to seven years previous supervisory experience required.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise plant operations to achieve customer satisfaction, productivity, schedule adherence and financial goals.
• Ensure safety, quality, production and other production-related activities.
• Oversee all plant operations including production, maintenance, quality, and shipping/receiving.
• Coordinate plant activities to meet manufacturing objectives in a timely, cost-effective manner.
• Establish and monitor plant performance for production standards.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and ensure proper paperwork completion.
• Supervise plant personnel and provide leadership and training.
• Assist with hiring of plant personnel and handle administrative tasks (timecards).
• Ensure shift change communication with staff.
