Job summary

Deep Foods, Inc. in Union, NJ seeks a Second Shift Production Supervisor to oversee daily plant operations in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment with 150+ staff.

You will drive safety, quality, productivity and continuous improvement initiatives, supervise production activities, and ensure regulatory compliance and accurate records. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of supervisory experience in high-speed manufacturing, strong leadership and bilingual English/Spanish communication

Qualifications

• 3+ years of supervisory or management experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in high-speed food manufacturing environments strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of GMP, sanitation, and FDA/USDA compliance.
• Bilingual English/Spanish skills required to be successful.
• Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Must be available to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and supervise daily second shift production operations to meet production and customer goals.
• Monitor production performance, quality standards, and on-time shipment requirements.
• Promote and enforce workplace safety policies and procedures.
• Optimize labor, equipment, and material resources to maximize productivity and minimize waste.
• Identify operational inefficiencies and implement corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Analyze production data, downtime, scrap, and overtime trends to improve operational performance.
• Ensure compliance with FDA, USDA, GMP, sanitation, and company standards.
• Partner with maintenance, quality, warehouse, and management teams to support efficient plant operations.
• Train, coach, and develop production employees while maintaining accountability and performance standards.
• Address employee relations and performance matters in accordance with company policy.
• Maintain accurate production and operational records.
• Stay informed on manufacturing best practices, safety standards, and operational improvements.
• Foster a respectful and inclusive multicultural work environment.
• Overtime will be often required.
