Job summary

CRH is seeking a Paving Equipment Operator to support heavy highway construction efforts. You will operate loaders, excavators, dozers, graders and backhoes, perform safety-driven daily checks, and coordinate with project leadership to meet goals.

Responsibilities include equipment inspections, teamwork, and maintaining a professional, safe work environment on site. Applicants should have construction experience and legal work eligibility in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Dedication to safety and quality workmanship.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening, background check, and "Fit for Work" physical.
• Valid driver's license with a clean record; ability to complete safe driver training.
• Responsible, punctual, and ready to work flexible hours when required.
• Professional and respectful communication skills with team members and the public.
• Legal eligibility to work in the U.S. (documentation required).
• Construction experience preferred; familiarity with materials and equipment essential.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of heavy equipment including loaders, excavators, dozers, graders, and backhoes.
• Follow equipment manuals and complete daily equipment checklists.
• Work with project manager and foreperson to meet daily goals and safety standards.
• Perform pre-start inspections and track service needs.
• Coordinate with other operators to optimize workflow and project success.
• Keep equipment clean and well-maintained to extend life.
• Support team with new tasks to keep projects moving forward.
