Job summary

CRH is hiring an Equipment Operator to work in a team environment on road, site, or highway construction and paving projects. The role emphasizes safe operations, adherence to company policies, and efficient handling of equipment.

The candidate will perform daily inspections, assist in training, and may travel or work nights/weekends as needed. A high school diploma or GED and Loader operations experience are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED
• Two to five years of loader operations experience

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate heavy equipment used in road, site or highway construction and paving.
• Report any problems to your manager.
• Maintain a safe work environment for yourself and co-workers.
• Communicate with co-workers using eye contact and hand signals when backing.
• Follow OSHA/MSHA safety procedures and company policies.
• Follow Foreman directions for daily tasks and project expectations.
• Perform minor servicing and maintenance and refer major problems to Foreman.
• Conduct daily pre- and post-inspections with proper documentation.
• Assist in training less-experienced employees on operations and repair.
• Perform general labor duties when necessary.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
