Job summary

RBC Bearings Incorporated is seeking a Manufacturing Tech I for the 2nd shift to process components through the liner process. The role requires safe operation of machinery, reading blueprints, and maintaining quality and logs while meeting production schedules.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, read and write English, and be able to work overtime. The position requires standing for long periods and lifting up to 40 pounds in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High School education or GED required.
• Must be able to read and write English.
• Must follow detailed instructions, do accurate work at a rapid pace and meet scheduling deadlines.
• Manual dexterity and the ability to carry out complex, repetitive tasks quickly and methodically.
• Available to work overtime as required.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to bend, squat, sit, stand, walk, and handle objects. The employee is occasionally required to push/pull and reach above shoulder level. The employee must be able to carry/lift up to 40 pounds and be able to rotate item being handled.
• Work on feet for entire shift.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety is the foundation of daily work through vigilance and accountability.
• Responsible for setting up and operating machinery in support of the production process.
• Performs operations per specifications on drawing/print and documented procedures.
• Maintains a clean and safe work area at all times.
• Ability to use basic hand tools (i.e., utility knife) and machines (i.e., sandblaster, speed lathe).
• Ability to read blueprints/engineering drawings.
• Good understanding of quality control principles.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Complete daily production logs as required.
• Complete required equipment maintenance checks.
• Responsible for complying with internal quality systems and procedures.
