Job summary

PacSci EMC in California seeks a talented Manufacturing Engineer/Production Supervisor for the second shift (3:00 PM–1:30 AM, Mon–Thu). The role combines leading a small production team with core manufacturing engineering duties, driving safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate has a solid engineering background, supervisory experience, and hands-on CAD skills (SolidWorks/AutoCAD). Proficiency with MS Office and automation programming is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• 2–3 years of manufacturing engineering experience in a production environment.
• Prior supervisory experience, preferably second shift.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Experience with SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
• Automation programming experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a second shift production team, ensuring safety, quality, delivery, and cost standards.
• Develop and sustain manufacturing processes for new and existing products, focusing on efficiency and continuous improvement.
• Create clear work instructions and process procedures for operators.
• Prepare and manage production schedules, resources, and workflow maps.
• Estimate costs for proposals and production planning.
• Design tooling and fixtures for production and inspection, support capital equipment justification.
• Conduct process capability studies, audits, and time studies to identify waste.
• Maintain SOPs, DCNs, and SWIs.
• Lead staffing activities: interview, hire, train, and evaluate team members.
