Job summary

PacSci EMC in Arizona seeks a Manufacturing Engineer III to lead complex process improvements across production, NPI, and DFM. You will mentor engineers, drive Lean initiatives, and partner with Design Engineering to optimize manufacturability and throughput.

The role requires 5+ years in manufacturing engineering, proficiency with PFMEA, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and data analytics using Power BI; aerospace/defense experience is a plus. A Green/Black Belt is preferred. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline.
• 5+ years of Manufacturing Engineering experience in a technical manufacturing environment.
• Experience applying Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, Kaizen, Six Sigma and PFMEA.
• Experience mentoring engineers and leading technical initiatives without direct supervisory authority.
• Experience collaborating with Design Engineering on DFM and process optimization.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, Power BI, Visual Manufacturing or ERP/MES, and CAD (SolidWorks).
• Experience in regulated industries (Aerospace/Defense/Medical/Automotive) preferred.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean manufacturing to improve safety, quality, throughput and cost.
• Mentor and develop Manufacturing Engineers through coaching, training, and technical leadership.
• Lead PFMEAs and coach teams on best practices.
• Collaborate with Design Engineering to improve DFM and support successful product introductions.
• Identify automation opportunities to improve process capability and reduce cycle time.
• Analyze manufacturing data to identify trends, reduce defects, and improve process performance.
• Develop and improve manufacturing standards, work instructions, and process documentation.
• Lead cross-functional improvement projects with Production, Quality, Program Management, Supply Chain, and Engineering.
• Support engineering changes, validation activities, and production readiness.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
