Job summary

Parker Hannifin is seeking a production technician to operate and adjust production equipment in a manufacturing setting in the United States. The role involves monitoring equipment, inspecting parts, and maintaining tooling and processes to meet quality standards.

The position requires basic hand tools, the ability to lift up to fifty pounds, and adherence to safety policies. Training will be provided for new employees and opportunities for growth within the manufacturing organization.

Qualifications

• Eighth grade education required; higher education substitutions will be evaluated and approved by the Operations Manager.
• Preferred: High school diploma with approximately six months work experience.
• Special Equipment: Must own basic hand tools.
• This position requires lifting objects weighing up to approximately fifty pounds; pushing or pulling may require greater exertion.

Responsibilities

• Operate, set up and adjust production equipment as required.
• Monitor equipment and notify supervision of malfunctions that cannot be corrected.
• Inspect parts to ensure conformance to specifications.
• Service equipment as needed (lubricants, coolant, etc.).
• Approve inspection reports and maintain quality.
• Meet established production standards and complete paperwork (production, downtime, SPC charts).
• Train new employees in the area as required.
• Keep the area clean and safe; observe safety rules at all times.
