Job summary

VLS Environmental Solutions, LLC in Gray Court, SC is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator for the second shift in our alternative engineered fuel facility. You will operate wheel loaders, excavators, and other mobile equipment in a shredding and AEF processing environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of heavy-equipment experience with wheel loader proficiency.
• Experience around stockpiles, truck traffic, loading operations.
• Ability to pass a practical operating evaluation and site training.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for shift.
• Ability to read procedures and complete logs.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate wheel loaders, excavators and other mobile equipment in shredding/AEF processing.
• Perform pre-use and post-use inspections; check tires, attachments, guards, and safety systems.
• Stop unsafe operation, secure equipment, and report issues promptly.
• Load materials and coordinate with spotters and drivers.
• Maintain clean, safe work areas and comply with safety practices.
• Participate in shift handoffs, safety meetings and maintenance planning.
