Job summary

VLS Environmental Solutions, LLC is seeking a hardworking associate for a shredding/facility processing role where unloading, loading, and handling of waste streams are core duties. The position requires operating forklifts and other heavy equipment with a strong focus on safety and regulatory compliance.

You will work in a fast-paced environment handling materials, performing basic maintenance, and ensuring clean, organized work areas.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of shipping, receiving and warehouse experience.
• Ability to operate a forklift and other heavy equipment.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Lift 51 lbs. unassisted.
• Basic math, reading comprehension and writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Unload and load wastes in conformance to company rules and regulations.
• Offload and check-in inbound waste streams.
• Load, unload, and sample solid waste safely per regulations.
• Check consistency between manifested types and actual containers.
• Operate heavy machinery in confined areas and with forklift attachments.
• Perform daily PM and inspections on operating equipment.
