Job summary

McGill Environmental Systems is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator on the 2nd shift at our New Hill, NC facility. You will operate loaders, excavators, skid steers, backhoes, and related equipment to support compost, mulch, and soil production.

Responsibilities include loading trucks, blending and processing materials, and maintaining safety and quality standards. Ongoing training, benefits, and pathways for career growth are offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience operating Front-End Loaders, Excavators, Skid Steers, Backhoes or similar heavy equipment.
• Physically capable in a fast-paced outdoor environment.
• Reliable transportation to the Morrisville, PA facility.
• Strong commitment to safety and teamwork.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Operate Front-End Loaders, Excavators, Skid Steers, Backhoes, Grinders, Screeners, and other heavy equipment.
• Load trucks and transport materials throughout the facility.
• Perform blending and material processing operations.
• Conduct daily safety inspections and equipment checks.
• Identify and report equipment issues requiring maintenance.
• Support production goals while maintaining product quality standards.
• Follow all company safety policies and PPE requirements.
• Participate in safety meetings and training programs.
• Maintain a productive and efficient workflow.
