Job summary

McGill Environmental Systems is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator for its New Hill, NC facility. This 2nd shift role involves safely operating loaders, excavators, skid steers, backhoes, and other equipment to move and process organic material into compost and soil products.

You will inspect gear, support production targets, work with a safety-minded team, and contribute to environmental sustainability. Benefits and development opportunities available.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience operating Front-End Loaders, Excavators, Skid Steers, Backhoes, or similar heavy equipment.
• Work in a physically demanding, fast-paced environment.
• Outdoor work in all weather conditions.
• Reliable transportation to the Morrisville, PA facility.
• Strong commitment to safety and teamwork.
• Dependable attendance and work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Operate Front-End Loaders, Excavators, Skid Steers, Backhoes, Grinders, Screeners and other heavy equipment.
• Load trucks and transport materials throughout the facility.
• Perform blending and material processing operations.
• Conduct daily safety inspections and equipment checks.
• Identify and report equipment issues requiring maintenance.
• Support production goals while maintaining product quality standards.
• Follow all company safety policies and PPE requirements.
• Participate in safety meetings and training programs.
• Maintain a productive and efficient workflow.
