Job summary

Ventura Foods in Texas is seeking a production/mixer operator to blend dry, wet, and refrigerated ingredients per formula specs and meet taste and appearance requirements.

Responsibilities include pre-shift prep, batch processing, data recording, QC sampling, and shift handoffs. Requires 1+ year in a food manufacturing environment and a High School Diploma or GED. Work is onsite with 8–12 hour shifts and standard safety protocols.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
• 1+ years of experience in a food manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-shift prep and sanitize surfaces in contact with product.
• Follow batch sheet without deviation; document any variances.
• Make approved adjustments; monitor gauges, temps, and records.
• Record batch data and provide samples to QC as needed.
• Read production schedule and complete paperwork promptly.
• Coordinate with spicers, QA and machine operators.
• Ensure correct number of cases produced per order.
• Manage rework instructions and completion.
• Close out shift and handoff to sanitation/next shift.
• Comply with SQF, GMPs, FSMA and preventive controls.
