Job summary

Ventura Foods in Saginaw, TX is seeking a Production Technician to blend dry, wet and refrigerated ingredients and ensure specs are met, delivering products that satisfy customers in taste and appearance.

You will follow batch sheets, operate mixers, monitor gauges, record data, and collaborate with QA, spicers, and operators while maintaining food safety standards and clean work areas.

The role is onsite, second shift, hourly pay with benefits, growth opportunities, and a supportive team.

Qualifications

• General knowledge of how ingredient mixing affects product properties.
• Ability to read and communicate in English for batch sheets and SOPs.
• Ability to read and perform basic math for measuring ingredients.
• Strong verbal and written communication with coworkers and supervisors.
• Forklift licensed/certified or ability to be trained and operate material handling equipment safely.

Responsibilities

• Follow pre-shift prep; sanitize surfaces and record data on SIS form.
• Follow batch sheets with deviations approved and documented.
• Monitor gauges, temps, adjust as needed; keep batch records and samples for QC.
• Read production schedule and process orders; complete paperwork and work orders.
• Communicate with spicers, QA and machine operators regularly.
• Verify correct number of cases produced per order; manage rework per instructions.
• Close out shift properly; hand off to sanitation or next shift.
