Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician C in Auburn, MA to perform preventive maintenance and light repairs on a fleet of vehicles under supervision. The role supports drivers on routes with state-of-the-art equipment and offers training in new technologies and ongoing career growth.

A 2nd shift and a $5,500 sign-on bonus are noted, with pay between $24.10 and $33.10 per hour depending on experience and locality.

Qualifications

• Completion of a certified diesel maintenance program is a plus but not required.
• ASE Certification T8 PM is a plus but not required.
• 1–3 years of experience.
• Ability to follow standard operating procedures and troubleshoot common faults.
• Valid Driver’s License is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a basic knowledge of a vehicle’s mechanical and electrical systems to perform basic preventive maintenance and some repair functions.
• Areas of equipment maintenance may include vehicle preventive maintenance inspections and adjustments; oil changes and fluids replenishment; adjustments and light repairs, including tire changes; and basic electrical work.
• Completes applicable Company training programs.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned or apparent.
