Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in Lexington, KY is hiring an Entry Level Diesel Technician for the second shift (2:00 pm – 10:30 pm), offering weekly pay and a strong benefits package.

Starting pay is $30.05 per hour, with a certification bonus up to $700, quarterly bonuses, and 401(k) matching. Tools, PPE, paid training, and other benefits are included.

The role requires a high school diploma, basic tools, and CDL-A preferred; candidates with transportation maintenance interest will be considered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Basic tools required.
• One year or more experience in transportation maintenance preferred.
• Valid CDL A license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic vehicle maintenance.
• Performs component identification and minor repairs.
• Performs preventive maintenance with training and support.
• Performs facility maintenance duties.
• Perform all entry level tasks.
• Diagnoses minor mechanical and electronic problems, utilizing diagnostic computer when applicable.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
