Ryder System, Inc. in North Charleston, SC seeks a Mid-Level Diesel Technician on the second shift (1:30 pm – 10:00 pm), Monday–Friday with weekends off. The position offers weekly pay and comprehensive benefits after 30 days, plus tuition assistance and stock discounts.

Compensation starts at $29.50 per hour with generous bonuses for ASE certifications and quarterly rewards. Training is provided and a clear path for career growth within a safety-first environment is emphasized.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocational or technical certifications preferred.
• Two years or more of combined classroom and work experience in required area preferred.
• CDL Class A preferred; must be able to obtain CDL within 6 months of hire.

Responsabilités

• Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties.
• Performs standard vehicle maintenance.
• Performs standard component inspections and repairs.
• Performs preventive maintenance.
• Diagnoses mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic tools.
• Identifies root causes and performs repairs as required.
• Replaces defective components as instructed.
• Performs facility maintenance duties.
• Interacts with customers/drivers to determine nature of complaints.
• Works with Shop Management System and electronic documentation.
• Follows safety, DOT, MOT and corporate compliance guidelines.
• Performs other support duties to assist operations.
