Job summary

Ryder is hiring a Mid-Level Diesel Technician in North Charleston, SC to maintain and repair heavy duty vehicles. The position offers weekly pay, a strong benefits package, paid training, and a 401(k) match.

You’ll work the 2nd shift from 1:30 pm to 10:00 pm and join a team dedicated to safety and quality. Pay starts at $29.50 per hour with a certification bonus up to $700, plus quarterly bonuses up to $500.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocational or technical certification is preferred.
• Demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair.
• Two years or more of related training or work experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs vehicle maintenance and repair on heavy‑duty diesel engines.
• Conducts standard preventive maintenance and inspections.
• Diagnoses mechanical and electronic issues using diagnostic equipment.
• Interacts with customers/drivers to determine the nature of the problem.
• Maintains compliance with safety, DOT, and company policies.
