The position runs on the 2nd shift from 1:30 pm to 10:00 pm, Monday through Friday, with weekends off. Candidates should have a high school diploma and relevant certification, plus basic tools and diesel/mechanical experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocational or technical certification preferred.
• Basic tools are required.
• Experience with mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines.
• Two years or more of relevant training or work experience preferred.
• CDL CLASS A preferred; may need to obtain CDL within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties.
• Performs standard vehicle maintenance and component inspections.
• Diagnoses mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic equipment.
• Identifies root causes and performs required repairs.
• Interacts with customers/drivers to determine the nature of the issue and task.
• Ensures compliance with safety, DOT, MOT guidelines.
