Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. seeks a Mid-Level Diesel Technician in Mechanicsburg, PA to service heavy-duty vehicles. You will perform routine maintenance, tune-ups, diagnostics, and component repairs in a safety-focused shop environment.

The role offers a Monday–Friday schedule, with first shift 6:00 am–2:30 pm, weekly pay, and a comprehensive benefits package including health coverage and paid time off. Applicants must have CDL-A preferred and a strong mechanical background.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocational or Technical Certification, post-secondary degree, or technical certifications preferred.
• Basic tools required.
• Experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines including preventive maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties.
• Performs standard vehicle maintenance and inspections.
• Diagnoses mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic tools.
• Identifies root causes and performs repairs as required.
• Interacts with customers/drivers to determine nature of the issue.
