VSS CNC Inc. in Greenfield, MA is seeking a skilled Second Shift CNC Machinist to set up, program, and monitor complex machining processes. You will maintain quality through careful measurement and GD&T compliance while supporting production goals.

The role requires experience operating CNC machines, blueprint reading, and precision metrology. Expect a 2nd shift schedule (Mon-Thu, 3pm–1am) with a $2 shift differential and strong safety expectations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience operating CNC machines in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of blueprint reading, GD&T principles, and precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers).
• Ability to work the 2nd shift reliably.
• Basic math for calculating dimensions, tolerances, and machine settings; strong problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines with proficiency to produce complex parts.
• Conduct routine inspections using calipers, micrometers, and other QC tools to verify dimensions per GD&T.
• Collaborate on tooling setup, fixture adjustments, and process improvements to boost productivity.
• Follow safety protocols and use hand tools and guards properly.
