Job summary

Globe Composite Solutions is seeking a Second Shift CNC Machinist to set up mills and lathes, read blueprints with GD&T, and perform precision machining to tight tolerances. The role requires 1–3 years of CNC experience and strong measurement discipline.

You will work 3:30pm–12:00am with a 20% shift differential, and contribute to safety, quality logs, and continuous improvement. On-site in Massachusetts with standard production environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1–3 years CNC machine operation experience.
• Understanding of GD&T and precision measurement.

Responsibilities

• Plans machining by studying work orders, blueprints, and GD&T.
• Sets up mills and lathes with tooling and fixtures.
• Loads stock into position for machining.
• Verifies settings by measuring parts and first runs.
• Maintains specifications through precise milling, drilling, and turning.
• Adheres to safety procedures and regulations.
• Maintains and troubleshoots equipment; performs basic PM.
• Documents actions in production and quality logs.
• Keeps knowledge up to date via training and reading technical publications.
• Supports continuous improvement and back-up coverage.
