Job summary

STARC Systems Inc in Brunswick, ME is seeking an Assembly Technician to perform a range of production tasks on the shop floor, including assembly, machine operation, packing, and inspection across product lines. You will help maintain safety, quality, and efficiency while supporting material flow and Kanban-led inventory control.

This second shift role runs 3:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m., with pay $20.00–$24.00 per hour plus a $2.00 shift differential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in a production, manufacturing, or assembly environment preferred; on-the-job training will be provided as required.
• Ability to read and follow work orders, assembly drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), and standard operating procedures.
• Basic math skills and the ability to use measuring tools (tape measure, calipers, etc.).
• Experience with hand tools, power tools, and basic manufacturing equipment a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform production tasks, including assembly, machine operation, packing, and inspection.
• Perform primary and secondary assembly operations across all product lines.
• Operate secondary machining equipment including saws, drill press, and other manufacturing machinery.
• Clean and pack finished product to shipping standards.
• Support production scheduling by completing assigned work orders accurately and on time.
• May be asked to obtain certification to operate a forklift.
• Includes other duties as assigned that are relevant to the role and in support of company needs.
