Qualifications include MT 1600 GRT with Oceans Endorsement and STCW endorsements. International travel, TWIC, and valid passport are required, with union contract terms applying to compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Must have Mate 1600 Gross Tons or equivalent with Oceans Endorsement.
• Valid STCW with required endorsements (OICNW, RADAR/ARPA, ECDIS, VSO/VPDSD, CPR/First Aid, Advanced Firefighting).
• Lifeboatman, Mates on vessels <3000 GT (International) and Towing Vessels.
• Current TWIC and valid Passport; travel internationally permitted.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for safe navigation on watch under supervision of Master and Chief Mate.
• Ensure proper execution of master's orders and supervise deck crew during operations.
• Maintain navigational watch, vessel logs, and navigation charts.
