Crowley Maritime Corporation is seeking a Second Mate to oversee safe navigation on watch and supervise deck operations for LNG barge duties. You will ensure accurate logs, charts, and adherence to required maritime safety procedures.
The role requires STCW endorsements, lifeboatman and towing vessel qualifications, TWIC, and passport validity for international travel. LNG barge experience is a plus, with strong proficiency in deck maintenance and software tools.

Under the supervision of the Master and Chief Mate, the Second Mate is responsible for safe navigation of the vessel on their watch and traditional supervisory duties. Also responsible for the proper execution of the master's orders, supervision of the crew during deck operations and maintenance activities. Maintains a proper navigational watch, vessel logs, navigation charts, etc.

This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement. Compensation, including hourly wages or salary, benefits, and other terms of employment, will be in accordance with the applicable union contract.
