Job summary

Crowley Maritime Corporation is seeking a Second Mate to oversee safe navigation on watch and supervise deck operations for LNG barge duties. You will ensure accurate logs, charts, and adherence to required maritime safety procedures.

The role requires STCW endorsements, lifeboatman and towing vessel qualifications, TWIC, and passport validity for international travel. LNG barge experience is a plus, with strong proficiency in deck maintenance and software tools.

Qualifications

• MT Mate 1600 GRT or equivalent and 3rd Mate Unlimited with Oceans Endorsement.
• STCW with required endorsements (OICNW, RADAR/ARPA, ECDIS, VPDSD, CPR/First Aid, A firefighting).
• Lifeboatman and towing vessels endorsements.
• TWIC and valid passport for international travel.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe navigation on watch and execute master orders.
• Supervise crew during deck operations and maintenance.
• Maintain vessel logs and navigation charts and ensure safety procedures.
