Job summary

BlueStar Resort & Golf in Rio Verde, AZ is seeking a motivated Second Assistant Golf Professional to support the Golf Shop and Guest Services. You will assist the team, help run tournaments, and uphold high service standards for guests and members.

The role reports to the Head Golf Professional and requires strong communication, leadership, and a commitment to BlueStar core values. PGA membership is preferred, with a flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred.
• Two to three years’ experience in a related field, with supervisory experience preferred.
• PGA membership or in the process of obtaining is preferred.
• Current First Aid, CPR/AED certification, and other safety certifications, as required by the Club.
• Computer literate with proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business materials and financial reports.
• Ability to calculate figures and understand budgets and P&L.

Responsibilities

• Support daily operations of the Golf Shop and Guest Services.
• Assist with all tournament operations.
• Maintain effective communication about course operations, safety, and HR issues.
• Train and develop staff in golf operations, merchandising, and check-in procedures.
• Respond to inquiries from guests and regulatory bodies and participate in events.
