Job summary

BlueStar Resort & Golf is seeking a Golf Shop Assistant to manage daily Golf Shop operations, assist in achieving retail and guest satisfaction goals, and support tournament activities. The role emphasizes friendly service, attentive handling of cash and reservations, and maintaining an organized shop environment.

The position requires a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends, with full-time hours and eligibility for benefits after milestone periods.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Retail experience preferred.
• Computer literate.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and short correspondence.
• Ability to communicate positively with team members and supervisors.
• Desire to contribute to a productive work environment.
• Must be self-motivated and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Communicate the core values and mission of BlueStar Resort & Golf to support company goals.
• Maintain effective communication with all team members for a smooth, safe, and consistent atmosphere in the Golf Shop.
• Understand sales goals and assist in achieving retail revenues targets.
• Assist in developing staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage.
• Provide exceptional customer service and respond to guest concerns.
• Answer phones and make tee time reservations.
• Check in players and keep the Golf Shop stocked and clean.
• Monitor inventory and place purchase orders; handle cash and card transactions accurately.
• Assist in tournament operations as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
