Job summary

Kelly® Science & Clinical is seeking a Sample Management Specialist II for a 6‑month contract in Seattle. The role supports sample handling, life cycle management, and chain of custody for services spanning research, clinical projects, and diagnostic testing.

The position is onsite in Seattle, with a Tuesday–Saturday schedule and $25/hour pay. The ideal candidate has an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in biology or a related field, strong Excel skills, and the ability to adhere to GCP, CAP, and

Qualifications

Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in biology or related field.
Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
Ability to follow Good Clinical and Laboratory Practices.

Responsibilities

Handling, storage, and lifecycle management of samples entering the Biological Sample Management department.
Enter, upload, and ensure accuracy of sample information in multiple systems.
Maintain a record of every system transaction to evidence sample Chain of Custody (COC).
Ensure inventory management (freezer management) for each physical sample throughout the lifecycle.
Perform sample disposition management including disposal, return, re-purpose, off-siting, reracks.
Perform check-in and check-out of biological samples to/from BSM.
Follow documented processes, safety protocols, and laboratory regulations (GCP, CAP, CLIA).
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or senior BSM staff.
