Job summary

Brooks Applied Labs in Seattle is seeking a Sample Control Specialist who will shepherd client samples from arrival to disposal. This entry-level role is ideal for someone eager to learn with strong attention to detail and lab skills.

You will join a team dedicated to accuracy and compliance in environmental and pharmaceutical testing. The position is day shift, Monday–Friday, with potential weekend work and full benefits after a waiting period.

Qualifications

• BS/BA degree in science concentration required.
• Very high level of organization and attention to detail.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow SOPs.
• Ability to lift 40 pounds and stand for periods of up to 8 hours.
• Ability to work occasional overtime with little notice.
• Must be legally able to work in the US, local candidates preferred.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Previous experience in a laboratory setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receiving, preparing, preserving, and storing samples per SOPs and EPA methods.
• Documenting and communicating receiving issues with Project Managers.
• Preparing and shipping bottle orders and sampling kits for clients.
• Cleaning sampling equipment.
• Calibration of equipment.
• Lab maintenance and cleaning.
