Job summary

Recology King County is seeking an Operations Supervisor in Seattle to oversee operations personnel, assign routes, and coordinate driver scheduling. You will monitor performance, enforce safety standards, and work with management to resolve customer service issues and optimize routes.

This role may include truck driving duties and participation in community engagements. The ideal candidate has supervisory experience in waste/logistics operations, a valid driver's license, and a Bachelor's

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Bachelor's degree preferred.
Experience managing waste/recycling/logistics operations or related field.
Valid driver's license required.
Knowledge of training, supervision, budgeting, and scheduling.

Responsibilities

Assign employees to routes and balance workload; arrange coverage for absences or equipment failures.
Monitor route completions and analyze routes for efficiency; implement changes as needed.
Ensure safety policies are followed and monitor collection practices on routes.
Resolve customer service issues and billing inquiries; respond to complaints and coordinate with jurisdictional staff if needed.
Prepare and analyze operational reports; advise on rate adjustments as approved.
Drive trucks as needed and ensure compliance with policies and collective bargaining agreements.
Support community and business meetings on behalf of the company.
