Job summary

Recology King County is seeking an Operations Manager in Seattle to oversee the operations department, supervise Operations Supervisors, and ensure safe, compliant, and efficient service delivery. The role includes training staff, scheduling, budgeting, and reporting while addressing customer inquiries and representing the company in the community.

The ideal candidate will have industrial or waste-management leadership experience, strong supervisory skills, and the ability to manage operations

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED required.
• Preferred bachelor’s degree and related leadership experience.
• Experience supervising operations in industrial or waste-management sectors is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the operations department and day-to-day supervision of Operations Supervisors.
• Ensures safe, efficient, compliant operations and training/licensing of staff.
• Monitors assignments to optimize productivity and effectiveness.
• Maintains records, generates reports, and analyzes operational data.
• Handles customer inquiries and resolves disputes; supports budgeting and staffing plans.
• May interact with government staff and represent the company in community activities.
