Job summary

Recology is seeking an Operations Supervisor for an Organics Facility to lead operations personnel and routing drivers, ensuring efficient, safe, and timely services. The role involves assigning routes, balancing workloads, and analyzing routes for performance improvements.

The incumbent will monitor operations, resolve customer service issues with drivers, participate in billing discussions, and generate actionable operational reports.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Management experience in waste industry/recycling programs, transportation, production and logistics operations or related field.
• Principles of employee training, supervision, and evaluation.
• Supervisory techniques, resource allocation, planning and budgeting.

Responsibilities

• Supervise operations personnel and route drivers to ensure efficient operations.
• Assign employees to routes and pickups and balance workload.
• Monitor route performance and enforce safety policies and procedures.
• Resolve customer service issues with drivers and respond to inquiries and complaints.
• Recommends rate adjustments and assists in resolving billing disputes with management approval.
• Generate and analyze operational reports and make recommendations.
• Assist in delinquent accounts collection and advise on billing issues.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and report incidents.
• Maintain attendance and manage time records, providing feedback as needed.
• Drive trucks as needed and ensure compliance with policies and union agreements.
