Job summary

Diamond Peak Recruiting seeks a Project Engineer for multifamily and commercial construction in Seattle. You will support project managers, review plans, coordinate RFIs/submittals, and assist with cost tracking on active projects.

The role offers hands-on site exposure, collaboration with architects and subcontractors, and opportunities to advance in a growing Seattle construction team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred.
• 1–2 years of construction, engineering, or project coordination experience preferred.
• Interest in multifamily, commercial, or ground‑up construction.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative, team‑oriented approach.
• Willingness to spend time both in the office and on active construction sites.

Responsibilities

• Support Project Managers with the day‑to‑day administration and coordination of construction projects.
• Review plans, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and other project documents.
• Prepare, track, and distribute RFIs, submittals, and project correspondence.
• Assist with subcontractor and vendor coordination.
• Maintain project logs, schedules, meeting minutes, and other project documentation.
• Assist with change orders, purchase orders, invoices, and cost tracking.
• Review subcontractor invoices and supporting documentation.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, and ownership teams as needed.
• Participate in project meetings and help track action items and deliverables.
• Conduct occasional site visits to understand project progress and assist with field coordination.
• Help identify potential schedule, cost, quality, and coordination issues.
• Maintain organized project files and ensure documentation is current and accurate.
• Support closeout activities, including punch lists, warranties, O&M manuals, and final documentation.
