Job summary

Pilatus Aircraft USA Ltd. is seeking a Seating Technician in Broomfield, CO to apply seating upholstery for final installation on new aircraft seats. You will fabricate, assemble, and install seat upholstery following data/FAA-EASA standards and maintain production documentation.

Responsibilities include bonding materials, wrapping seat components, using MRP for labor tracking, and ensuring quality and regulatory compliance. Strong reading of drawings and basic math are required.

Pilatus is hiring a Seating Technician to join our team in Broomfield, CO. In this role, you will be responsible for applying seating upholstery for final installation on new aircraft seats. Under limited supervision, fabricate, assemble, and install seat upholstery in accordance with technical data and compliance with FAA/EASA standards. Perform material inspections, material handling, and application in accordance with process specifications. Take your career to the next level with Pilatus Aircraft USA Ltd.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

• Bond leather and synthetic materials together using different methods and adhesives
• Apply and finish wrap materials to seat shrouds and cushions
• Work within MRP system to maintain labor tracking and Job Card/Task sign-offs
• Use safety equipment and comply with all safety requirements in accordance with company and government regulations and guidelines
• Effectively communicate with management and team leads
• Perform work with high attention to detail and adhere to quality standards
• Follow provided standardized work and direction provided by team leads/senior technicians
• Inspect completed work to ensure proper fit, finish, alignment, and compliance with company and regulatory requirements
• Identify, document, and report defects, discrepancies, or nonconforming materials to management
• Maintain traceability and complete required production documentation
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

Other Duties/Responsibilities

• Work with Leads and higher skilled technicians to develop and refine skills and techniques
• Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy work area
• Assist coworkers and other departments to successfully perform job tasks and functions when needed
• Perform other related duties as assigned by Lead or Manager

Requirements

Skills/Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Three (3) years related experience or equivalent combination of technical training and experience
• Demonstrated ability to read and understand technical drawings
• Ability to use measuring tools and perform basic math computations
• Ability to use hand tools and/or other specialize equipment; ability to lift up to 40 pounds
• Regular attendance and willingness to work overtime as required
• Basic computer skills, including MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Must be able to read, speak, write and understand English

The hiring range is $26.00 - $36.00 per hour. This range represents Pilatus Aircraft USA Ltd.’s estimate of the compensation reasonably expected for this position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors including relevant skills and experience, education, job location, internal equity, market data, and business considerations. The hiring range may be modified in the future based on business or market conditions. Any bonus, incentive compensation, benefits, or other forms of compensation are subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plans, programs, and policies and may be modified in accordance with applicable law.
