Job summary

Ford is seeking a Core Seatbelt Subject Matter Expert to guide engineering teams on seatbelt development, cost, quality, and robust execution. You will mentor PD engineering staff and maintain a Seatbelts technology roadmap, staying current with pyrotechnic tech and global needs.

The role involves leading global collaboration, defining global vehicle needs, and supporting seatbelt modularity and field service activities across programs. A strong engineering background is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or similar required.
• 5+ years of experience in Seatbelt Engineering.
• 1 year of CAD experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Core Subject Matter Expert for all Seatbelts.
• Guide and mentor Seatbelt Applications D&R’s.
• Lead or support weekly Seatbelt TDRM meetings and related reviews.
• Write specifications, design rules, and test methods with high quality.
• Provide technical guidance on cost, quality, and robust execution.
