Job summary

Lucid Motors USA, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Engineer, Seatbelts to lead the development of seat belt systems from concept through production. You will work with steering wheel, BIW, and interior teams to define strategies and drive design processes in a fast-paced environment.

The role includes sustaining existing projects, developing new variants, and expanding responsibilities into new development phases over time.

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of Mechanical Engineering fundamentals: mechanics of materials, materials properties, dynamics and biomechanics related to occupant safety, failure mechanics.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skill to apply engineering knowledge to practical problems.
• CAD skills to package component models into the vehicle environment and define interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Develop and sustain seat belt systems across the product lifetime from specification to ramp up and post-SOP maintenance.
• Achieve technical excellence while meeting timing, cost, and quality targets.
• Collaborate with design/ergonomics/BIW/interior teams to optimize restraint system packages.
