Job summary

Ford Motor Company in Dearborn, MI, seeks a Core Seatbelt Subject Matter Expert to guide engineering teams on all Seatbelt matters, provide training, and mentor PD engineering staff. You will drive specifications, test methods, and global collaboration for Seatbelts, airbags and related systems.

You will lead in a multi-cultural, multi-supplier environment with a strong emphasis on quality, cost control, and reliability across global vehicle programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or similar.
• 5+ years of experience in Seatbelt Engineering.
• 1 year of CAD experience.

Responsibilities

• Core Subject Matter Expert for all Seatbelts.
• Guide and mentor Seatbelt Applications D&Rs.
• Lead or support weekly Seatbelt TDRM and other weekly TDRMs.
• Write specifications, design rules, and/or test methods with high quality.
• Provide technical guidance on Seatbelt matters including cost, quality, and robust execution.
