Job summary

Lucid Motors in Phoenix seeks a Sr. Engineer, Seatbelts, to own the design and development of restraint systems across the vehicle lifecycle. You will lead from concept through production with autonomy, collaborate with CAE and Crash Test teams, and influence design processes to meet safety and regulatory targets.

You will sustain existing projects and develop new variants, with opportunities to shape strategy and architecture of seatbelt systems in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of mechanics of materials, dynamics, and occupant safety.
• Ability to learn quickly and strive for perfection in a fast-paced environment.
• Bachelor’s degree or above in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Develop and sustain seat belt systems across the product lifetime.
• Guide interfaces with CAE, Crash Test teams, and suppliers.
• Define design requirements, tolerances, and assembly interfaces.
• Support restraint system integration and homologation activities.
