Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
• Automotive design and release experience focused on seatbelt or safety systems.
• Ability to lead design, development, and integration across complex programs.
• Strong knowledge of Engineering Release Systems and Teamcenter Visualization.
• Proven cross-functional leadership in fast-paced environments.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Customer-focused with robust, user-centered solutions.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and timelines.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end design, development, integration, validation, and release of seatbelt systems.
• Provide technical leadership across seatbelt architecture and component selection.
• Drive cross-functional alignment with styling, manufacturing, safety, and suppliers.
• Own product definition, release, and engineering change management.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective action across groups.
• Manage technical risks, timing, and escalation through GVDP lifecycle.
• Mentor junior engineers to strengthen team capability.
• Stay current on industry trends and regulatory changes.
• Oversee validation activities including test planning and results.
• Drive continuous improvement in design practices and standards.
