Blythe Construction in High Point, NC is seeking a Pipe Layer to join our field crew on road, highway and bridge projects. This hourly-rated skilled craft position performs duties described below.

Candidates should have 3-5+ years of pipe crew experience, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to read plans and work with supervisors on site. The role involves outdoor work in all weather, lifting heavy materials, and coordinating closely with the lead crew on pipe installation and layout.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of industry-related experience in roads/highways/bridges.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Must understand work directions and communicate effectively with job site supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Assist lead person with setting laser.
• Read and understand plans.
• General labor duties on pipe crew.
• Assist lead person with installing RCP water and sanitary pipe.
• Mud and cut pipe.
• Able to multi-task and work as a team member.
• Prep pipe.
• Perform layout.
• Instruction of drainage pipe structure.
• Perform incidental work items and duties included within other crafts.
