Job summary

Blythe Construction is seeking a Pipe Layer for our on-site construction crews. This hourly-rated skilled craft position involves assisting with pipe installations, reading plans, preparing pipe, mudding and cutting pipes, and supporting other crafts on road, highway, and bridge projects.

The role requires 3–5+ years of industry-related experience, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to work outdoors in varied weather, lift heavy loads, and communicate with supervisors and teammates

Qualifications

• Experience reading and understanding plans.
• Ability to work on pipe crews on road, highway, and bridge projects.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with supervisors and fellow workers.

Responsibilities

• Assist lead person with setting laser.
• Read and understand plans.
• General labor duties on pipe crew.
• Install RCP water and sanitary pipe under supervision.
• Mud and cut pipe.
• Prep pipe and perform layout.
• Instruct on drainage pipe structure.
• Support other crafts as needed.
