Branch Builds, Inc.'s Civil Division in Raleigh, NC is seeking a skilled Pipe Layer to join our growing team. You will prepare and install underground pipelines for road construction and report to the Pipe Foreman.

This full-time role requires 3–5 years of underground pipe laying experience, knowledge of pipe laying techniques, and the ability to work in a team to meet deadlines. Physical labor and safety adherence are essential for daily field work.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 3–5 years of underground pipe laying experience.
• 2–4 years of road construction experience preferred.
• Knowledgeable of pipe laying techniques.
• Sense of urgency to meet deadlines.
• Accomplish goals in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Install sanitary and storm water sewer structures and pipe systems.
• Lay out pipe routes following specifications or blueprints and coordinate layouts with supervisor.
• Cut pipes to required lengths.
• Align and position pipes to prepare for welding or sealing.
• Check slopes for conformance to requirements using levels or lasers.
• Connect pipe pieces and seal joints using welding equipment, cement or glue.
• Tap and drill holes into pipes to introduce auxiliary lines or devices.
• Cover pipes with earth or other materials.
• Grade and level trench bases using tamping machines and hand tools.
• Perform other general labor and construction duties as required.
• Promote and adhere to the company’s safety program.
