Job summary

DPR Construction in Virginia is seeking an experienced concrete finisher to apply finishing techniques to slabs and structural elements, including screeding, troweling, edging and curing, ensuring flatness and durable surfaces. You will work with the site crew to sequence pours, follow safety guidelines, inspect surfaces for defects, and maintain tools and work areas.

Requirements include a High School Diploma/GED and 2–4 years of concrete finishing experience; OSHA 10 preferred with completion

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
2-4 years of concrete finishing experience preferred.
OSHA 10-Hour Construction certification preferred; OSHA 10 completion within 6 months of hire required.

Responsibilities

Applies finishing techniques to freshly placed concrete by smoothing, texturing, edging, and curing surfaces for slabs and structural elements.
Performs screeding, floating, troweling, edging, jointing, and texturing to achieve specified flatness, durability and appearance.
Follows safety and quality guidelines during all phases of finishing work.
Inspects finished surfaces for defects and makes corrections to meet standards.
Assists in preparing work areas, setting forms, and cleaning up after finishing operations.
Collaborates with crew leads and foremen to sequence work and maintain schedule adherence.
Maintains tools, materials, and equipment in clean, safe, and operational condition.
