Second Life Mac in Skokie, IL is seeking seasonal Warehouse Shipping Associates to support our fast-paced distribution operation.

You will handle picking, packing, labeling, and use RF scanners and WMS to ensure accurate shipments. Compensation starts at $18 per hour, rising to $18.50 after six months and $19 after 12 months. This hands-on role offers growth opportunities in e-commerce logistics.

Qualifications

• Prior warehouse experience in distribution environments preferred.
• Experience operating forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, or similar equipment; forklift certification is a plus.
• Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, AS400 or MRPs is highly desirable.
• Strong basic math skills for counting inventory and packaging measurements.
• Knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures and order fulfillment processes.
• Ability to perform physical tasks (lifting, standing) safely.
• Excellent attention to detail for accurate order picking and packing.
• Good communication to coordinate with teammates and supervisors.

Overview

We are seeking seasonal Warehouse Shipping Associates to support our fast-paced distribution operation! Our hourly rate starts at $18 per hour, then $18.50 after 6 months, and $19 after 12 months! Duties

• Prepare outgoing shipments by picking, packing, and labeling orders accurately using RF scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS)


• Load and unload trucks efficiently using equipment such as pallet jacks, reach trucks, forklifts, and loaders while adhering to safety protocols


• Stock shelves and organize inventory through proper stocking techniques, ensuring products are stored safely and accessibly


• Conduct order picking with precision to meet customer demands and delivery deadlines


• Ensure all shipments are properly packaged to prevent damage during transit, following packaging standards for e-commerce orders


• Assist in inventory counts, cycle counts, and stock replenishment activities to maintain accurate stock levels


• Support shipping & receiving functions by verifying inbound/outbound shipments against documentation and resolving discrepancies promptly


• Operate reach trucks, pallet jacks, or forklifts safely to move large quantities of stock within the warehouse


• Maintain a clean, organized workspace by adhering to safety guidelines and best practices for warehouse cleanliness

Qualifications

• Good communication skills to coordinate with team members and supervisors effectively
