Job summary

VillageMD is seeking a Scribe Tech for seasonal coverage in an urgent care setting. You will document patient visits in the EMR, assist physicians with basic care and procedures, manage patient flow, and support lab and equipment readiness.

The role supports DOH compliance, labs, imaging, and referrals, while maintaining compassionate, professional interaction with patients and staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Medical assisting training a plus.
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting program and/or phlebotomy certifications preferred.
• Strong bedside manner, communication, and teamwork essential.

Responsibilities

• Capture accurate documentation of patient visits into the EMR.
• Assist physicians with basic patient care and procedures.
• Direct patient flow, inventory, and follow-up on labs.
• Ensure DOH compliance of site labs and exam rooms.
• Escort patients to exam rooms and other facilities as needed.
• Maintain a fast but safe pace in an urgent care setting.
• Coordinate tests and referrals for follow-up care.
