Job summary

VillageMD is hiring a Scribe for a full-time seasonal role in Edgewater, NJ. The Scribe will capture detailed visit notes in the EMR, assist physicians with basic patient care, and help manage patient flow and lab follow-ups in a fast-paced urgent care setting.

The ideal candidate has a high school degree or GED, strong communication skills, and a customer-focused approach. BLS certification and bilingual abilities are a plus; position offers daytime hours with potential weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or GED required; undergraduate degree a plus.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
• English language required (speaking and writing).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Capture accurate and detailed documentation of patient visits into the EMR promptly.
• Assist physician with basic patient care and procedures.
• Direct patient flow, manage inventory, and follow up on labs.
• Ensure DOH compliance for site labs and exam rooms.
• Escort patients to exam rooms or imaging facilities as needed.
• Maintain a fast-paced, professional urgent care environment.
• Provide compassionate patient care and excellent customer service.
