Job summary

VillageMD is seeking a Medical Scribe to join our urgent care team in New Jersey. You will support physicians by documenting patient encounters, preparing exam rooms, and coordinating referrals to specialists as needed.

The position requires a High School Diploma or GED, excellent typing (45 wpm), and strong communication skills. It is a full-time, on-site role with a fast-paced environment and opportunities to grow within VillageMD.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Fast-paced urgent care environment experience a plus.
• Typing speed of at least 45 words per minute required.

Responsibilities

• Manage minimum two patients per hour on average, up to three to four during surge periods.
• Assist physicians with patient care and medical procedure setups.
• Facilitate diagnostic tests and referrals through Aftercare.
• Communicate with patients, pharmacies, and physicians under physician guidance.
• Maintain a clean, courteous, and professional work environment.
• Assist with training and acclimation of new hire scribes.
