Job summary

Traffic Safety Services (TSS) is seeking a dependable Traffic Control, Perm Install, and Pavement Marking Technician for a seasonal on-site role. Wage starts at $20.00/hr with prevailing wages of $30.80–$34.30/hr for on-site work.

You will drive to sites, manage traffic control devices, and support multiple departments to complete projects safely. Responsibilities include equipment upkeep, inventory control, and assisting with pavement markings.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years old.
• Valid driver's license; CDL is a plus with a clean driving record.
• Experience operating forklift or skid-steer is a plus.
• Proficient in reading maps and traffic control/pavement marking plans.
• Able to operate motor vehicles, hook up trailers, and back up trailers.
• Basic math skills, including reading a tape measure.
• Professional, team-oriented, self-motivated and organized with a positive attitude.
• Good oral and/or written English communication.
• Work week varies; overtime may be required.

Responsibilities

• Drive the company vehicle to and from job sites safely.
• Deliver, set up, tear down, and maintain traffic control devices.
• Assist departments to ensure timely completion of jobs and projects.
• Maintain a clean shop and yard.
• Wash, clean, inspect, maintain, fuel, and stock trucks and equipment.
• Organize and maintain inventory.
• Load, tie down, transport, and unload trucks and trailers securely.
• Safely lift, carry, and stack traffic control devices and materials.
• Assist with pavement marking layout and application.
• Operate heads on small grinders; operate forklift and skid-steer.
• Perform minor equipment repairs as needed.
• Follow safety regulations and company policies.
